The legal position.
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) require employers to prevent or control exposure to hazardous substances, and to give employees suitable information, instruction and training.
That covers chemicals, dusts, fumes and some biological agents.
The course builds understanding. The COSHH assessment itself must be carried out for your own substances and tasks by a competent person.

Do I still need a COSHH assessment for my workplace?
Yes. Training helps people understand and follow controls, but the assessment has to be done for the substances and tasks in your own workplace.
Do learners get a certificate?
Yes. After passing the test, each learner gets a printable certificate showing the course and the date.
