Entry requirements

You need a foundation level of environmental or sustainability knowledge.

The ISEP Foundation Certificate is the usual starting point, but equivalent work experience can count.

How it is assessed

One written assignment after each of the three taught weeks.

After that, an assessment of competence based on your work experience leads to Practitioner membership (PISEP).

Good to know

IEMA is now ISEP. Certificates issued from January 2025 carry the new name and earlier ones remain valid. The course content has not changed.

06 / Questions

Common questions.

Which learning option should I choose?

Virtual suits most people who want tutor support without travelling. Distance is the most flexible and the lowest price. Classroom suits those who learn best face to face. We can talk it through with you.

Are the assignments included in the price?

The first sitting of each assessment is included. Re-sits after a fail cost extra.

Do I need the Foundation Certificate first?

It is recommended, but you can start with equivalent knowledge and experience. Ask us if you are unsure.

Can my employer pay, or book several people?

Astutis offers on-site delivery and corporate rates for groups. Talk to us and we will point you in the right direction.
